Into the Forest by Jean Hegland

Two sisters survive societies gradual collapse in NorCal...they learn to survive on their own, and every time I make fresh tea from my garden I remember them discovering foraged fresh tea in this book. (After months of sadly rationing tea bags.) There's a pretty shocking sexual encounter in this book as well, but for some reason, I still think about the tea.
